Kronenberg to Bitburg

Rain rain and more rain – thunderstorms lightening and possibly the most rain I’ve ever seen. Big hills again up to 22% which I had to walk up. Most of the ride was flat except for these large climbs that kept getting in our way! We rode 73k in 3.5 hours ending up of course climbing up the side of a mountain to Bitburg absolutely drenched to the skin – so glad I bought a 2 euro poncho ! Hotel is ok they did wash our riding clothes which were muddy and dripping – there are no ‘washer salons’ – launderettes in Bitburg. After a nice HOT shower we had a good feed and drank some Electolytes – we were Spoilt last night in our hotel it was a 1700 century building so pretty crisp sheets white towels – this hotel is definitely not up to the standard and smokers can still smoke in the dining room :(. ¬†Tomorrow we head off to Tier the oldest city in Germany¬†
